The Student Loan Buying Guide
is saddle-stitched.

Both are full color (CMYK) throughout,
133 line screen, with a maximum ink density of 280%.

Advertising sizes:
Full page trim size of both magazines:
8.125” X 10.875”.

Bleed size (trim size plus 1/8" added to all four sides of page):
8.375” X 11.125”

All text and graphics should be kept at least 1/4” from all four sides of page to avoid being cut off during the printing process.

Nonbleed full-page: 7.625” X 10.375”.

Half-page: 7.25” X 4.75”

Quarter-page: 3.5” X 4.75”
(Student Loan Buying Guide only)

PDF files are preferred.
Flatten transparency and convert all colors to CMYK. Do not downsample.
Embed all fonts; use PostScript fonts only.
Save images as 300 dpi CMYK TIFF or EPS.
Convert all PMS colors to CMYK in Illustrator files and convert text to outlines.
Compression should be set at JPEG-high quality.
Compatibility should be set to Acrobat 4 (PDF 1.3).
Use Press Quality job options in Distiller
(resolution 2400; line screen 133 lpi).
Include 1/8” bleed, crop marks offset by 12 points.

Other Acceptable Formats:
Mac: QuarkXPress 7.3, IllustratorCS3, InDesignCS3, PhotoshopCS3
PC: InDesignCS3, QuarkXPress 7.3, PhotoshopCS2.
Include all fonts and placed images with live files.PostScript fonts only.
Save images as 300 dpi CMYK TIFF or EPS.
Convert all PMS colors to CMYK in Illustrator files and convert text to outlines.

Provide your advertisement as a .GIF, .PNG or .JPG file.
Ad sizes: 300 pixels wide X 250 pixels high.
File size should not exceed 90k. Send your ad at least five days before publication date. Provide the URL so readers can click directly to your site.
